QSA two bars Relief of Kimberley Paardeberg 68173 GNR H C THOMAS 76TH BTY RFA

Henry Clifford Thomas an 18 year old Carman from Vauxhall London enlisted into the Royal Artillery in 1888. He was severely wounded at Paardeberg on the 18th of February 1900, the 76th battery having one man KIA and 5 wounded in the batlle. He returned to the UK in September 1900 and died of dysentry at Rochester Row Hospital London on the 16th of October 1901
